Scenic Charge/Deck Captain
Mary Olin is an artist working in Brooklyn, NY. She paints, builds, and creates props for scenery of all kinds. She has assisted Tony-winning set designer Donyale Werle for the past year on shows such as Allegiance (Old Globe Theater) and The Explorers Club (Manhattan Theater Club). She was most recently the props master for The North Pool, a new play by Rajiv Joseph (The Vineyard Theater), and also for Kinds of Light, a new movement piece created by Summer Shapiro (The Tank, NYC). Her set designs include Butoh Electra (Irondale Performing Space, NYC), A Kind of Alaska, Mud, Disco Pigs, and The Zoo Story (Syracuse University). When she’s not working, her time is usually occupied by wandering, antiquing, books, and backyard barbeques.
